Jana Al-Akhras

Jana Al-Akhras is the Managing Attorney at Ureña & Associates, where she leads a high-volume immigration and federal litigation practice with a particular focus on asylum, family-based immigration, and mandamus actions aimed at family reunification. 

Jana holds a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she served as Managing Editor of the Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law and was awarded the Dean’s Special Recognition as a Public Service Fellow. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a specialization in Middle East Studies. Prior to joining Ureña & Associates, Jana gained experience in higher-education law, mediation, international legal practice, and e-discovery.
