About

Caroline Steele is an immigration attorney dedicated to expanding access to legal services for immigrant communities. At Ureña & Associates, Caroline focuses on deportation defense and affirmative asylum, representing a diverse, multinational client base. Caroline’s experience also includes Temporary Protected Status (TPS), DACA, employment authorization, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), and family-based immigration relief.

Before joining Ureña & Associates, Caroline launched and led an immigration legal services program at a Brooklyn-based nonprofit, serving immigrant clients navigating employment, education, and immigration-related challenges. Her background also includes legal advocacy work in civil rights, disability justice, and public interest law, as well as extensive experience teaching English to immigrants and refugees.

Caroline earned her Juris Doctor from CUNY School of Law, where she was the founding president of the Empirical Law & Society student organization. She also holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Psychology from The New School for Social Research. Her interdisciplinary background allows her to approach client representation with compassion, cultural awareness, and a deep commitment to justice.
