Laura Bally-Mahabir is an attorney whose practice focuses on immigration. She represents individuals and families in a wide range of immigration matters, including asylum, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), adjustment of status, family-based petitions, removal defense, and appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Prior to joining Urena & Associates, Laura served as a Supervising Attorney at a New York immigration law firm, where she managed complex immigration cases, supervised legal staff, and prepared clients for hearings before Immigration Courts nationwide. Throughout her career, she has successfully advocated for clients in asylum proceedings, adjustment interviews, family court matters, and removal defense cases.

Laura earned her Juris Doctor from New York Law School and her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. During law school, she gained valuable experience through internships with immigration advocacy organizations, including Safe Passage Project, Catholic Charities, and the New York Law School Asylum Clinic. Her commitment to client advocacy, attention to detail, and compassionate approach help clients navigate complex legal challenges with confidence.
